Oak Mountain State Park is the largest state park in Alabama with nearly 10,000 acres. Located roughly 20 miles south of Birmingham, Oak Mountain features  hiking, mountain biking, swimming, camping, horseback riding, golfing and more.

Oak Mountain is home of the Alabama Wildlife Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing care and rehabilitating native birds to help them return to the wild.
